Assisting Underprivelaged Youth During the Holiday Season

Posted on Nov 3rd, 2008 by Julieanne : Chinese Herbalist Julieanne
Hello Gaia Community-

Currently, I am working with an organization which runs various "Safe" homes and programs within CT for abused/neglected children.  They are without reliable families/homes and the Holidays are an especially difficult time for them.  With limited funding as an organization, money for Christmas presents is limited-

If you feel called to donate a Christmas/Holiday present, it would be a blessing to the children!  Simply attach paper/card to it with age of recipient (no wrapping necessary).  If answering this call to care for underprivelaged youth, email me and I will provide you with the mailing address and other additional information necessary.

This would truly touch the children's' hearts during this Holiday Season.

Currently, we have just about reached our goal of matching every child on the list with a sponsor.  We have six children left who need sponsors!

With Gratitude and Best Regards,
Julie

Last Weekend's Symposium:Awakening the Dreamer-Changing the Dream

Posted on Oct 22nd, 2008 by Julieanne : Chinese Herbalist Julieanne
I am sharing information regarding a environmental/social symposium I recently attended.  It is my intention to spread such information to others as I had learned in the group.  This organization's mission is to "bring forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just Human Presence on the planet" - seeking to promote active practice ideas and to be engaged in these practices.

Official website:  www.awakeningthedreamer.org

From Pachamama Alliance:

"Actively seeking to remain in a state of blessed unrest."

"Actions that come from your vision, your heart and your soul carry immense power."

"Tiny actions as well as large ones can serve as openings; don't dismiss them"

The Prayer to Our Father in the Original Aramaic

Abwûn - O cosmic Birther, from whom the breath of life comes,
d'bwaschmâja - who fills all realms of sound, light and vibration.
Nethkâdasch schmach - May Your light be experienced in my utmost holiest.
Têtê malkuthach. - Your Heavenly Domain approaches.
Nehwê tzevjânach aikâna d'bwaschmâja af b'arha. - Let Your will come true in the universe (all that vibrates) just as on earth (that is material and dense).
Hawvlân lachma d'sûnkanân jaomâna. - Give us wisdom (understanding, assistance) for our daily need,
Waschboklân chaubên wachtahên aikâna daf chnân schwoken l'chaijabên. - detach the fetters of faults that bind us,(karma) like we let go the guilt of others.
Wela tachlân l'nesjuna - Let us not be lost in superficial things (materialism, common temptations),
ela patzân min bischa. - but let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose.
Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila wateschbuchta l'ahlâm almîn. - From You comes the all-working will, the lively strength to act, the song that beautifies all and renews itself from age to age.
Amên. Sealed in trust, faith and truth. (I confirm with my entire being)

Galilean transliteration of the Lord's Prayer

Avvon d-bish-maiya, nith-qaddash shim-mukh.
Tih-teh mal-chootukh. Nih-weh çiw-yanukh:
ei-chana d'bish-maiya: ap b'ar-ah.
Haw lan lakh-ma d'soonqa-nan yoo-mana.
O'shwooq lan kho-bein:
ei-chana d'ap kh'nan shwiq-qan l'khaya-ween.
Oo'la te-ellan l'niss-yoona:
il-la paç-çan min beesha.
Mid-til de-di-lukh hai mal-choota
oo khai-la oo tush-bookh-ta
l'alam al-mein. Aa-meen.
Matthew 6:9-13

"Therefore, this is how you shall pray:
Our heavenly Father, hallowed is your name.
Your Kingdom is come. Your will is done,
As in heaven so also on earth.
Give us the bread for our daily need.
And leave us serene,
just as we also allowed others serenity.
And do not pass us through trial,
except separate us from the evil one.
For yours is the Kingdom,
the Power and the Glory
To the end of the universe, of all the universes." Amen!
